A series of artwork from Senior Project at Mill Street Loft Art Institute (now known as The Art Effect). The program was held for 12 weeks in total and led by Todd Poteet, Director of the Art Institute. Each piece was made each week while fixing and adjusting the painting from the previous week based on comments mentioned during group critiques. As time went on, we relied less on the instructor as he purposely took a step back to allow us to think independently and work collaboratively with other students in the program by sharing feedback. The theme of this series was based on the idea of “metamorphosis.” As a result, the breadth of work consists of visual expressions of various stages of transformation in different settings.
