Co-existence (유무상생)
유무상생. 무의식과 의식의 관계. 몸과 마음의 흔적들.
A series of paintings which serve as a visual conversation between non-existence and existence. Essentially, one cannot exist without the other, therefore, what seems like a duality is actually a unity. There is a never-ending conversation between the consciousness and unconsciousess, existence and non-existence, seen and unseen, and meaningless and meaningfulness.
The following paintings mainly focuses on expressing the internal conversations outward in its purest form. There is no logical process nor illogical process, the main objective is to purely rely on the “act” of painting and the “act” of expression. Therefore, I’ve limited the use of the eyes by painting while blindfolded in order to transfer the internal world onto the drawing surface.
